Brushed-back poly tricot — 100% polyester. Semi-lustre face, lightly brushed back; the sheen is the whole look, so approve the face in daylight not under factory light

Trim: 2x2 rib (hem and cuffs) · 95% polyester / 5% elastane · 300 GSM

How it's made

Shoulder

Set-in, slightly dropped shoulder, 2 cm drop — 4-thread overlock + 0.6 cm topstitch

Neck

Funnel collar, two-piece, self-fabric with light fusible · rib height: 8 cm · topstitch: Edge-stitch 0.2 cm both sides of the seam

Closure

Centre-front #5 moulded plastic zip, 62 cm, one-way, zips to the top of the collar · hardware: Matte tonal puller with a 3 cm woven pull tab

Sleeve hem

5 cm 2x2 rib cuff

Body hem

5 cm 2x2 rib hem. Straight; rib relaxed at 52 cm and stretches to the body

Taping

Two 2 cm contrast tapes down each sleeve, from the shoulder seam to the cuff rib, 1.5 cm apart, twin-needle applied

Pockets

Two zipped slash pockets, 15 cm openings, angled 15 degrees from vertical

• Pairs with the PixelBootcut track pant as a two-piece. Match the tricot supplier across both or the sheen will not match, which is the single most visible fault in a tracksuit set.

• The tape is topstitched on, not inserted in a seam. Insetting it looks better and costs roughly double in labour — start with topstitched.

• Tricot curls at the cut edge. Ask for the panels to be cut and sewn the same day, or the pieces distort while they wait.

• Funnel collar at 8 cm stands up on its own only with fusible. Without it the collar folds over and the garment reads as a cheap windbreaker.
