• Raw edges only work above about 200 GSM. Below that the hem curls within a few washes and the asymmetry reads as a fault.
• Ask the factory for a laser-cut edge, not a scissor cut — the sealed edge is what keeps it looking deliberate.
• Grade the two lengths together so the 12 cm step stays constant across sizes.
• Print area sits on the wearer's left, clear of the offset seam: 26 x 30 cm.
